St. Michael Parish Family,
With deep gratitude and excitement, I am pleased to share with you the new St. Michael Catholic Church & School logo—a symbol that flows directly from the central image of St. Michael in our church sanctuary. It is a visual proclamation of the truth we live every day: we are in a spiritual battle, and God does not leave us unprotected.
No figure in all of Scripture and Sacred Tradition stands more vividly at the crossroads of Heaven and Hell’s warfare than St. Michael the Archangel. His very name—“Who is like God?”—is a declaration of war against evil. His presence reminds us that the victory belongs to the Lord, and that the forces of darkness do not have the final word.
“The gates of Hell shall not prevail.” St. Michael stands as living proof of that promise. Every time his name is invoked with faith, Heaven moves.
Our new logo draws directly from the powerful image that watches over our parish: St. Michael standing firm, sword drawn, defending God’s people. The shield in the logo reminds us of the four essential elements of family life that Jesus is calling us to reclaim: sacrificial love, authentic forgiveness, heartfelt vulnerability, and communal life. These pillars shape who we are becoming as a parish family and anchor the mission entrusted to us.
The new logo will be implemented over an extended period of time. It will be displayed on parish merchandise first, which you can order here until August 9:
We invite everyone who orders merchandise to wear it to the Family Festival on Sunday, September 13 and then go out into our broader community as joyful witnesses—welcoming others into the Home of the Father of Goodness.
In Him,
